REVISTA DA IMPRENSA - FORMULA 1

Ferrari President Luca Montezemolo believes McLaren have only themselves and the discord within their team to blame for losing the world title.

While Ferrari entered the final race of the season in Brazil with Kimi Raikkonen as a long shot for the world title, needing to make up a seven-point deficit, McLaren had two drivers who were both in much better positions to win.
However, it was Raikkonen who clinched the race win and the title while his team-mate Felipe Massa's second-placed finish ensured that McLaren could only sit back and watch as the Championship slipped from their grasp.

Rubbing salt into McLaren's wounds, Montezemolo has now come out and said that the Woking team's intra-team feuding was responsible for the team's own downfall.

"The difference between us and McLaren is that we're a team and in the last race our drivers helped each other. And in the toughest times we were even more united," Montezemolo told The Guardian.

The Italian added that justice has been served in light of Ferrari's victory in the face of the Stepneygate spy scandal, which saw McLaren found guilty of being in possession of Ferrari's secret technical information.

Montezemolo said: "Sunday was a triumph of sport in the face of a lot of controversy and disloyalty. In the end sports justice prevailed."
